Muir Woods National Monument in Mill Valley, California is home to the tallest tree species on Earth – the Giant (or Coastal) Redwood. These trees can reach up to 378 feet tall. The tallest living tree is named Hyperion and scales at 378.1 feet in height. California is home to three of the world’s tallest living trees.
