During my last trip to London, I had the opportunity of staying at the Four Seasons London at Park Lane or 5 nights. This was my first time visiting the property and I was in for quite a treat!
You can’t ask for a more perfect location. The hotel is just walking distance to the best restaurants and high-end shopping in London, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and steps away from the Tube Station. Should you want to rest your feet, they offer a complimentary shuttle (up to 1km) in a Rolls Royce! Talk about riding in style!
Closest Tube Station: Hyde Park Corner (3 min walk) or Green Park (10 min)
The rooms were modern and spacious. The bed was a dream. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom had both a shower and bathtub and equipped with all the typical toiletries and amenities. There’s free wi-fi available throughout the hotel.
The hotel has a restaurant, lounge and bar called Amaranto. The restaurant serves an Italian-inspired menu with international flavors throughout the day. What’s most amazing about the space is the bar area. Throughout the day and evening, guests can enjoy a selection of creative snacks and light dining options that pair well the bar’s traditional and innovative cocktails or with the fine wines dramatically lining the walls. The extensive international wine list here focuses predominantly on Italian wines.
Breakfast is served until 10:30AM in the lounge area. I recommend the pancakes or a made-to-order omelette.
The building has been recently renovated. The decor is modern, yet traditional and aligned with what you would find at other Four Seasons properties. The gym, located on the top floor, is well-equipped, clean and offers great views of London city. You can see the London Eye from your treadmill! There are fresh towels, infused water, sports drinks and dried fruits for your pleasure. Beside the gym, there is a cozy seating area. There is as self-serve, complimentary tea and coffee station, which makes this the perfect place to get some work done or have a private meeting.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to check out the spa or pools (which were closed for monthly maintenance).
From check-in to departure, the staff was extremely polite, professional and helpful.
If you are planning on visiting London, I highly recommend staying at the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane for the proximity to major attractions and public transport, accommodations and service levels.
