The Girl Gone Global

Since I was a kid, I always dreamed of traveling to far away destinations and experiencing different foods, people and cultures. And at 27 years old, just a week after I completed my M.B.A., I packed up my apartment, put everything into a storage unit, resigned from my  job and set off to travel the world. After 60 days, 19 countries, and over 4,000 pictures on my iPhone, I had an unwavering appetite for wandering that couldn’t be fulfilled.

I eventually landed a gig in Dubai and decided to step out on faith and take it! Not knowing a soul or anything about the Middle East, I set off on an indefinite journey to find myself on the other side of the world. I enjoy visiting new lands and cities, stumbling across the hidden gems of the world. It is my goal to inspire and motivate other young girls of color to reach out and go after their dreams. Life is so much more rewarding when you can help others realize their potential and nurture it.  I feel that traveling is a great way to help raise a young girl’s self-awareness, her cultural sensitivity, and to broaden her perspective of the world and its peoples.

I am a native of Oakland, CA and educated in Atlanta, GA. I enjoy traveling, cooking, sports, and service projects involving children and the homeless. I have lived in the USA, United Arab Emirates, and now residing in Zug, Switzerland.
